Saturday Night Live

I read somewhere during the last election that an alarming percentage of people got their political news solely through Saturday Night Live. SNL has been around for well over twenty years and has always been on after the late news on Saturday nights. We've often found their political skits to be funny... especially with knowing the real background. However, it concerns me that people are watching these skits without that background knowledge. Now SNL is going primetime on Tuesday nights up until the election. Obviously, they are aware of their impact on politics.

What do you think about Saturday Night Live going Prime Time until the election?

Considering Saturday Night Live's spoof of the Palin/Couric interview ended up using the EXACT SAME WORDS Palin used to answer the economy question, I'm not too bothered about it at all!

I would imagine it's SNL, Daily Show and Colbert Report, not just SNL, that people get their info from. SNL and Daily Show are unashamedly liberal. Colbert Report is too, but 'pretends' to be a conservative pundit show. Sometimes, though, Colbert 'pretends' too well and I've got a couple of friends who watch that show because they actually AGREE with what Colbert's alter-ego believes!

Well, it is somewhat better than CNN. At least SNL makes an attempt to show how stupid Barry is. CNN doesn't even try to mask their cultish love for Obama.

Roland, I have had e-mails from morons that get their info from Stewart. There is no disputing which political ideology is 100% morons and which side has a fair share.

Look at the Pres/VP candidates of the Democrat Party. IQ = maybe 80? COMBINED!

Haha, Two Dogs-- I think you give them too much credit with a combined IQ of 80. ;)

The Other Sarah, at least the media DID actually publish that O'Biden spoke on an eighth grade level and Palin was on an eleventh. Then they compared Barry and McCain. Pre-K and Nursing Home respectively.

Hehe... that made my day. =)

Wait, Biden told me he had a higher IQ than I did and he graduated top of his class etc...

I'm sure I can take all that at face value and don't need to fact check it at all.

Sorry, I was off by one FULL grade for Palin and Biden as well. But, if you actually read the article, Palin is above 9th grade grade level where Biden is ALMOST 8th grade level.

Dang, why not just say Palin = 10th grade, Biden = 7th grade. CNN has to try to make it sound better.
